The Y-shaped mounting brace is covered with rubber tubing and the metal is capped with plastic plugs to ensure no metal can come in contact with your guitar. The opening of the Y-shaped brace is 2-1/8″ wide, but only 1 5/8″ wide towards the back. The ends of the Y-shaped brace are angled upwards to provide a sure grip on your guitar, which hangs by the headstock. The bracket extends about 6-1/4″ out from the wall.
