African Journal Kente Flagship – Heart of Ghana

It is made in Ghana with authentic fabric designed by Ghanaian artists and named by the Ghana market community. The fabric pattern on this notebook is called Kente Flagship. According to Ghanaian folklore, the designer of this cloth, in his bid to delight the ruler at the time, used all the motifs then known to weavers to arrive at the pattern. It became the most complex Kente cloth in its era and for a long period was the record to beat in Kente weaving. The pattern is regarded as top-of-range and reserved for royalty and features rich colors including gold, blue, green and burgundy.
